Seminar in Bosnia on Sava River management plan
This week, EELC lawyer Kärt Vaarmari participates in seminar, held in Bosnia about Sava River Water Management Plan. The seminar is targeted at officials from local municipalities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as municipal companies and non-governmental organisations; the purpose of the seminar is to enhance public participation in creation of cross-border Sava River Water Management Plan.
The seminar is part of a bigger project „Moving towards successful public participation in the Sava River Basin water management”, objective of which is to animate and educate public actively participating in the Management Plan, and have the public recognized by the decision makers as an equal and resourceful partner in this process. EELC participates in the project as a consultant, together with other external experts from other countries. Focus of EELC in this project is consultation in issues of EU Natura 2000 network, public participation and environmental impact assessment.
